CAIRO – May 28, 2022: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received a phone call from his American counterpart Antony Blinken on Saturday, May 28, 2022, where they discussed general frameworks for bilateral cooperation between the two countries and some number of international and regional issues of common interest.

Minister Shoukry stressed, during the call, the need to continue consultation and coordination between the two countries on the various issues and concerns of bilateral relations, and to seek to continue to strengthen them in the light of relations strategies that bind the two countries, said the Egyptian. The two ministers discussed the most important developments on the international and regional scenes, as well as the repercussions of the ongoing international crises and their impact on economic and living conditions around the world, and the need for joint action. to contain their consequences.

Hafez added that the two ministers agreed to continue coordination and consultation during the next stage on all issues of interest to Egypt and the United States.
