Pakistan, China pledge to further enhance comprehensive bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD, MAY 21 /DNA/ – Today marks the 71st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. To commemorate this occasion, a cake cutting ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Foreign Minister Sohail Mahmood, Charge d’Affaires of the People’s Republic of China Pang Chunxue, senior officers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chinese diplomats attended the ceremony. In his remarks, the Foreign Minister stressed that the multifaceted and proven relationship with China is the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy. He noted that bilateral relations between Pakistan and China are marked by outstanding trust, mutual respect and mutual support.

Over the past seventy-one years, these relationships have grown stronger and matured into an unbreakable, all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.

The Foreign Minister added that Pakistan and China are committed to enhancing comprehensive bilateral relations for the benefit of the peoples of both countries. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to further deepen the “iron brotherhood” between Pakistan and China and elevate the growing partnership to new heights.
